Sad tidings reached the friends of Mrs. Henry Burkart in New Iberia of her 
sad death which occurred at Beaumont, Texas, on Friday, May 4th, at 3 
o'clock P. Mr. Mrs. Burkartt, nee Lena Cooksley was a daughter of the late 
Samuel Cooksley and resided here for many years with other members of her 
family. They have been residing at Beaumont for some twelve years and 
besides her grief-stricken husband, she leaves six young children to mourn 
her death, four boys and two girls. The remains were interred in their last 
resting place at Port Neches, Texas. She also leaves several brothers and 
sisters who were present at the funeral obsequies.
