Necrological. - CADE - On Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock, at the home of his
father, Hon. Overton Cade, on Belleview plantation, in Lafayette parish,
near Royville, Smedes Cade died after an illness of several weeks. Rev. C. C.
Krammer, of this city, was called to officiate at the funeral services, which
took place from the family residence. The remains were interred in the family
burial grounds on the plantation on Thursday afternoon.

Mr. Charles S. Cade, aged 24 years, and a son of Hon. Overton Cade, died on 
last Wednesday evening in New Iberia, from heart trouble.

Died. - C. Smedes Cade, son of Hon-Overton Cade, died at the home of his 
paretns near Youngsville Wednesday, Jan. 24. Interment took place in the family 
burying ground on Bellevue place Jan. 26.
