(New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, January 28, 1905, Image 2 Necrological. - CADE - On Wednesday evening at 5 o'clock, at the home of his father, Hon. Overton Cade, on Belleview plantation, in Lafayette parish, near Royville, Smedes Cade died after an illness of several weeks. Rev. C. C. Krammer, of this city, was called to officiate at the funeral services, which took place from the family residence. The remains were interred in the family burial grounds on the plantation on Thursday afternoon. source: The St. Mary Banner.
