The sudden and unexpected death of Mrs. Elizabeth Ker Cade, wife of the late Charles Taylor Cade which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Holt at Galveston last Saturday morning, December 25th was a shock to many friends of the family in New Iberia. Mrs. Cade had for several years been residing in the town of Jackson and apparently enjoyed good health considering her age. At the time of her demise she was visiting her daughter. On Saturday morning, not answering a call, her room was visited and it was discovered that she had expired during the night. Deceased, nee Elizabeth Ker had lived in New Iberia almost her entire life and she had many warm personal friends. She leaves two daughters and one son, Mrs. Chas. Holt of Galveston; Mrs. W. P. Landis of New Orleans and Mr. Charles T. Cade; three sisters, Mrs. Wallace Prince and Misses Katie and Fannie Ker of New York survive her. The funeral was conducted by Rev. R. R. Diggs of the Epiphany church in this City on Monday, December 27th at 2:30 o'clock.
