E. C. CHASTANT.

On Tuesday, August 3d at eight o'clock A. M., all that was mortal of Mr. E. 
C. Chastant, aged 68 years, five months and 19 days passed to the Great 
Beyond. Mr. Chastant's death occured (sic) at his home near Loreauville. The 
funeral was held from St. Peter's Catholic church in New Iberia on 
Wednesday, August 4th at 10:30 A. M. in the presence of a large number of 
relatives and friends. Deceased leaves to mourn him from his first wife, nee 
Cecile Landry, four sons and seven sons and daughters from his surviving 
wife, nee Angelle Judice. He is also survived by a brother and sister, 
residents of Pasagoula, Miss.
