IN MEMORIAM.

Our loving mother, Mrs. J. J. Chaisson, 40 years and 4 months:

Dearest Mother, thou hast left us,
And thy loss we deeply feel,
But it is God that hast bereft us,
He can all our sorrows heal.

Yet again we hope to meet thee
When the day of life has fled,
When in heaven with joy to greet thee,
Where no farewell tears are shed.

All in dark within our dwelling,
Lonely are our heart to-day,
For the one we love so dearly,
Has forever passed away.

Our peace is gone,
Our hearts are sore,
We shall find it,
Ah, never more.

Thy footsteps we no more hear,
Thy loving face we miss, ah, mother dear.
O, sweet Jesus, be not mother's judge but her Savoir.
We shall never hear thy loving voice we loved so dear.

The light from our household has gone,
The voice we loved so dear is stilled,
A place is vacant in our hearts and home,
That never can be filled.

God needed one more loving soul,
Amidst his shining band,
And so he bent with a loving smile,
And clasped our darling mother's hand.

From her four children, Winnie, Mary Anne, George and Earl Chiasson and her 
father and mother.


CARD OF THANKS.

We desire to extend our most sincere thanks to our friends, relatives and 
neighbors of New Iberia and Lafayette and also the good Sisters of the Mount 
Carmel Convent for their kindness during the illness and death of our loving 
mother and all those who have assisted us in the hour of our most sad 
affliction. These true friends have our everlasting gratitude, we also 
extend thanks for the flowers so kindly sent. - Mary Anne and Winnie 
Chiasson.
