All rights reserved. http://usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ************************************************ Beverly Blume Comeaux PORT BOLIVAR - On Thursday, June 30, 2005, Beverly went home to her loving husband, parents, siblings and The Lord. She was born October 3, 1937, to George and Esther Blume of Port Bolivar. She married Leroy Comeaux in 1956 and became the mother of 8 wonderful children. As time passed, her 19 grandchildren became the lights of her life and she was very excited knowing she would be a great grandmother to a twin boy and girl later this year. Beverly was active in her community and took pride in being a lifetime member of the Bolivar Elementary PTA, a baseball coach for her children and grandchildren for the Bolivar Sport Club and a Cub Scout den mother for many years. She was also a member of Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Port Bolivar and a member of the Port Bolivar Cemetery Committee. Beverly spent most of her years loving and caring for other people and just recently began to find time to do the things that she wanted to do for herself. She loved the outdoors, NASCAR, Independence Day, and anything her grandchildren were involved in. She is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Leroy Comeaux, parents, George and Esther Blume, and brothers, Carlton and Curtis Blume. She leaves behind her children, Marcus Comeaux and wife, Talisa, Joe Comeaux and wife, Sylvia, Nancy Macon and husband, Tim, Curtis Comeaux and wife, Debbie, Malcolm Comeaux, Gregory Comeaux and wife, Giovannina, Tommy Comeaux and Ex-Wife, Tina, and Charlotte Comeaux. The grandchildren she leaves behind are William Comeaux and fiancé, Kellie Williams, Blake Comeaux, Delino Comeaux and wife Carmen, Clayton Comeaux, Taylor Macon, Timmy Macon II, Trey Macon, Anthony Comeaux, Celeste Comeaux, Dorothy Comeaux, Bonita Comeaux, Chelsea Comeaux, Lauren Comeaux, Gregory Comeaux Jr., Britney Vaughn, Ravyn Comeaux, Jai'Dee Comeaux, Rick Metcalfe, and Tommy Metcalfe. She also will be missed by many cousins, nieces, nephews, sisters-in-laws and uncountable friends. Visitation will be held Friday, July 1, 2005, from 5 p.m. - 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2005. Both will take place at Our Mother of Mercy Catholic Church in Port Bolivar with Father Joseph Nguyen officiating. Procession and burial will follow at the Port Bolivar Community Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Bouse, Billy Bouse, Koot Strimple, Michael Comeaux, Anthony Comeaux, Clayton Comeaux, Timmy Macon, Delino Comeaux and William Comeaux. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake Comeaux, Gregory Comeaux Jr., Trey Macon, Tommy Metcalfe, David Smith, Tracy Simpton, and Hoff Strimple. The family would like to thank everyone who supported them and Beverly through prayer and anything that was given in their time of need including all of the Nurses and Doctors at UTMB who cared for and comforted Beverly and her family.
