Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia

Private Memorial services for Kevin Hicks Courtois, 18, were conducted today 
with the Rev. Charles Langlois, pastor of St. Peters Catholic Church 
officiating.

Mr. Courtois died Saturday, May 21, 2005, at Dauterive Hospital.

Kevin Hicks Courtois was born June 30, 1986 to Dr. Gilbert J. Courtois III 
and Theresa Hicks Courtois. He graduated from Catholic High School in 2004 
and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Kevin also enjoyed drawing and was 
inspired by his love of wildlife and nature.

He is survived by his mother, Theresa Hicks Courtois; a brother, Andrew Jean 
Courtois of New Iberia; paternal grandmother, Marion Courtois of New Iberia; 
maternal grandmother, Geraldine Hicks of Worcester, Mass.; and many aunts, 
uncles and cousins.

Mr. Courtois was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Gilbert J. Courtois 
III; paternal grandfather, Gilbert Courtois Jr.; and maternal grandfather, 
Thomas K. Hicks.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kevin's name to a charity of 
one's choice.

Evangeline Funeral Home of New Iberia was in charge of the arrangements.
