After a short interval of eight weeks, the home of Mrs. Murat Decoux was again visited by death, who this time, claimed as its victim, the devoted husband and kind loving father, Mr. Murat Decoux. It would seem that grief over the death of his little daughter Olga, weakened him so that when illness set in he was not strong enough to resist it. With true Christian courage and in full consciousness he received the Last Sacraments and religious consolations of his church, just a few hours before he breathed his last, Monday, June 3rd at 10 P. M. Mr. Decoux was thirty-five years old and a resident of this City for many years. Ten years ago he married Miss Mina Bernard; of their union three children were born: Sadie, Olga and Murat. Two months ago little Olga died, thus breaking the first link in the happy little family circle, and now the father has gone to meet her, leaving his brave young wife to care for the other two children who remain to comfort her. Mr. Decoux was a man of sterling qualities, energetic and courageous. Quiet in his ways though cheerful always; he was a loyal true friend, and absolutely devoted to his home and family. The community sadly deplores his untimely death and offers deepest sympathy to the family and in particular to his wife in this her double sorrow. May the Great Comforter bring peace and courage to the grief-stricken heart.
