Mr. Emile Deriaz, the well known saloon-keeper, died at his home on Wednesday 
night last, aged 44 years. His health had been failing him for several years, 
but his friends did not anticipate that the end was so near. His remains were 
buried from the Catholic church on Thursday, attended by members of the 
Benevolent Association and many friends.
