Mrs. Clovis Derouen died at her residence on Julia street, at 6 o'clock 
Wednesday morning. The funeral was held from St. Peter's Church at four P. M. 
of the same day.

Mrs. Derouen was 73 years old and is survived by her husband and four 
children, Numa and Sidney of this city, Mrs. W. M. Davidson of Jeanerette, and 
Mrs. L. Garic of New Orleans.

MRS. B. CLOVIS DEROUEN.

A gloom was cast in the Derouen home on Julia Street when on Wednesday,
November 30th, 1921 at 6:05 o'clock A. M., all that was mortal of Mrs.
B. Clovis Derouen, nee Mathilde Romero, passed to the Great Beyond.
Deceased was the eldest daughter of the late Devizin Romero and was aged
73 years, 4 months and 2 days. She had been ill for several years and bore
her suffering with gentle composure and Christian fortitude. Besides her
devoted husband, she leaves to mourn her four children, Mrs. Wm. Davidson,
Mrs. Louis Garic and Messrs. Numa and Sidney Derouen. Her relatives that
survive her are Mesdames H. Patout of Patoutville; Mrs. Samuel Pointis
and Mrs. S. O. Nuckolls of New Iberia and Messrs. Honora and Oscar D. Romero
of this City and Mr. Adolphe Romero of Houston, Texas. The funeral was
conducted from St. Peter's Catholic church in this City on Wednesday
afternoon at four o'clock, in the presence of a large out-pouring of
sympathetic relatives and friends.
