Died, at the residence of his parents, in the Fifth Ward on Thursday, 
September 7th, 1916, Mr. Joseph Rudolph Derouen, born October 26, 1893. 
Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Adonis Derouen and his untimely taking 
away is regretted by a large number of relatives and friends. The funeral 
services were conducted in New Iberia from St. Peter's Catholic church the 
same afternoon at 4:30 o'clock. Mr. Derouen had been stricken with typhoid 
fever and succumbed from the disease despite all of the best attention that 
was given him during his illness. The Enterprise extends its condolences to 
the grief stricken family.
