After a lingering, incurable illness of several years, Mr. T. Armance Derouen breathed his last at his home in this City on Saturday, February 21st at 2:50 o'clock. Deceased was born in this Parish 71 years since filled the responsible position of Assessor. He was a kind and affectionate father and was highly esteemed by all who knew his sterling qualities. Mr. Derouen reared quite a large number of sons and daughters. He leaves to mourn his demise, besides his grief-stricken widow, Mr. George M. Derouen of New Orleans; Lieut. Wiltz H. Derouen of Corrinth, Miss.: Fulton, Milton, T. A., Jr., J. Y., Leo and Misses Lucille and Martha. The funeral was conducted from St. Peter's Catholic church by Rev. Father Langlois on Sunday afternoon at three o'clock. The family have the deep sympathy of the citizens of this Parish.
