(New Iberia, La.) 1902-1944, March 26, 1910, Image 3 One of the most respected ladies of New Iberia passed away early yesterday morning and leaves a host of friends to mourn her departure. Mrs. L. A. Dupuy, formerly Elizabeth Schlater was called to her last home at 1:40 o'clock in the morning of Good Friday and last evening at five o'clock she was buried from St. Peter's Catholic Church where a large number of citizens gathered to pay her their last respects and testify to their grief over her loss. Mrs. Dupuy had lived in Iberia Parish almost all of her life of 62 years and nine months. She occupied a prominent place in the hearts of those who knew her and leaves a large family to mourn her loss, her children being Messrs. W. L., Charles, Albert, Raymond, Cleveland, Romey, Leonard, Lawrence and Edwin and her daughter, Mrs. V. P. Guilfoux.
