(New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, October 06, 1900, Image 3 A sad death occured in this city Thursday afternoon, when the soul of Mrs. Clara Delgardo Emerson returned to its Maker. The deceased was the wife of Archie Emerson, and the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Delgardo. At the time of her death she was twenty years of age, one month and twelve days. She had many friends in Crowley, who are much grieved to learn of her sad demise and who extend the deepest sympathy to the loved ones she leaves to mourn her loss. Impressive funeral services were held in the M. E. Church, this morning at 10 o'clock and were conducted by Rev. P. R. Knicjerbocker. The interment was made in the Crowley cemetery. A large concourse of sorrowing friends formed a lonf funeral procession. - Crowley Signal.
