Died, at the family residence on Swain Street on Sunday, August 30th at three o'clock A. M., Mrs. Victor Erath, Sr., nee Mary Bobin (sic), a native of the city of New Orleans, born January 19th, 1852. Mrs. Erath had been ill almost continuously since the demise of her husband and was taken to a watering place by her children, thinking she would recover from her ailment. Some weeks ago she returned home and all that her devoted children could do to alleviate her suffering was done and the end came during the morning hours of Sunday. The services were held from the Episcopal church the same afternoon at four o'clock, Rev. Diggs officiating. She leaves to mourn her loss one son, Victor and three daughters, Mrs. Alice Lagrange of Lake Charles and Miss Anna and Alma of this City. The family have the sympathy of the entire community. CARD OF THANKS. We take this means of thanking our friends and acquaintances for all little acts of kindness rendered to our mother, Mrs. Victor Erath during her illness and death, which occurred on Sunday, August 30th, 1914.
