The venerable Mr. Pierre Fauvel succumbed to heart trouble, on Wednesday, 
the 16th, aged 71 years. His family and friends, while prepared for the 
inevitable, were none the less grieved when the end came. The deceased was a 
native of france, but had spent the greater portion of his life here and was 
bound to the land of his adoption by the ties of family, of property and of 
friendships long and enduring. The sturdy manhood of the deceased made him 
appreciated and esteemed by all who knew him and this appreciation was 
evidenced in the large concourse that accompanied his remains to their last 
resting place. The funeral took place from the Catholic church, conducted by 
Rev. Father Trainor.
