For I have lost my mother Her whose love, Unwrapped me close to life aglow, A love which even partly to repay Required the best my heart had to bestow. Mrs. J. L. Fourmy entered into rest Monday, September 15th, 1919 at her home in Jeanerette, after a long illness which she bore with christian resignation and fortitude. She knew that - When this earthly house Dissolved, then free from bands - She'd go where God's own building is, A house not made of hands. The body of the lamented deceased was taken to Los Angeles, California (the place she loved) and lies beside the youngest son she loved so well in the beautiful cemetery there. Mrs. Fourmy leaves a sorrowing husband, three sons, Eddie and Victor Fourmy of Los Angeles and Albert Fourmy of Houston, Tex.; six daughters, Mrs. J. R. Maquire and Mrs. M. B. McShane of Los Angeles; Mrs. A. C. Torstenson and Mrs. E. H. Caswell of New Orleans; Mrs. A. H. Camille of Jeanerette and Mrs. Henry F. Patout of New Iberia. This mother has been called up higher. Mother, the sweetest of all earthly names, dearest of all earth's memories. The mother's love makes it easy to comprehend the great mystery of the divine love. We extend to the bereaved ones our tenderest sympathy and pray God will comfort them. - A Friend. source: The Weekly Iberian.
