(New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, July 13, 1912, Image 3 DIED. - At her residence in New Iberia, French Street, on Saturday July 6th, 1912, at 2 p. m., Mrs. John A. French, nee Ophelia Veazey, born May 10th, 1854. The funeral took place from St. Peter's Catholic Church on Sunday evening at 5 o'clock, and among those who attended services were the members of Knights of Honor, Knights of Temperance, and Knights of Pythias. 2nd. French, nee Ophelia Veazey, which occurred last Saturday. Mrs. French died after a lingering illness, but her long suffering was greatly alleviated by the loving care of her devoted husband and children. Deceased was 53 years of age, and is survived by her husband Capt. John A. French, and two sons and three daughters: Mrs. Ralph Landry, Albert French, Cleve French and Miss Ophelia and Rita French, all of whom reside in New Iberia.
