Samuel Garbo, who married Miss Cecil Jennaro, of this city, formerly a 
resident of this city, died at his home in Opelousas on Thursday forenoon. He 
was a victim of influenza.

It is with regret we chronicle the death at Opelousas on Thursday last of Mr.
Samuel R. Garbo in his 33d year. Mr. Garbo was the husband of Miss Cecile
Jennaro, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. Jennaro of this City. Deceased had
many friends in New Iberia where he was held in high esteem, owing to his
genial disposition and sterling unrighteousness. He leaves to mourn his demise,
besides his grief-stricken widow and young child a number of brothers and sisters.
The funeral was conducted at his native town of Opelousas on Friday afternoon, in
the presence of a large assemblage of sympathetic relatives and friends.
