Mr. Joseph Gary (familiarly known by his numerous friends as Nacan) died at 
his residence in Delcambre, Saturday December 24 at 10:30 a. m., after an 
illness of only one week. He was a resident of Delcambre for the last twelve 
years. He is survived by his wife, several sons and daughters and many grand-
children. His funeral tok (sic) place after high mass in the Delcambre 
Catholic Church on Sunday morning. The funeral service was conducted in the 
church and at the grave by the Rev. Father A. Vanderbilt and interment was in 
the Delcambre Catholic Cemetery.
