A private memorial service will be held at a later date for Laura D. Gaspard, who passed away at her residence on Monday, December 28, 2015. The celebration of Laura’s life will be officiated by her devoted uncle Michael Davey, minister. Laura was born on July 24th and had a wonderful, supported life with her husband, Marcus G. Gaspard, of 42 years. They completed each other through their devotion. Also left with memories to cherish are her two sons and their families. Doug Gaspard and his wife, Tayasha, with their children Austin James, Hunter (Charlie), Payton and her most recent addition beautiful Katalaya Claire Gaspard and Ryan Weston Gaspard and his wife, Kimberly Dubois Gaspard, with their precious daughter Olivia Clare Gaspard. Her devoted and the “Rock of her life” her mother, Rosemary Davey Dancause; one brother Kenneth Dancause with his wife, Betty; one nephew Michael Allen Dancause with his wife, Surelie, all of Denver; as well as two nieces Shanie Dancause Fouquier and Alix Dancause. She was preceded in death by her father, Charles H. “Dan” Dancause; and her beloved brother Charles M. “Chuck” Dancause; her mother- and father-in-law Isabelle and Weston Gaspard; her grandparents, Laura and Robert Davey and Beatrice Ambrose Dancause; along with numerous aunts, uncles, brothers-in- law and cousins, with special mention of her Uncle Dana Davey, who passed away June 29, 2015. Laura wanted her host of most special people involved in her life mentioned who supplied an unending flow of love, support, strength, time and compassion are: Tina, Scooby, Matt, Steve C., Charlie H., Gregg, Zack, Carla and Darrell. “These people held my hand along with my family and always supported me on this journey over the last eight and a half years and I can NEVER repay them for their kindness, compassion and forgiveness.” In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Laura requested donations be made to St. Edward School or Catholic High School for the love and support of her precious blessings, her children and grandchildren. Laura Gaspard and her family were cared for and entrusted final arrangements to Louisiana Funeral Services and Crematory of Broussard, 330-8006.
