NECROLOGICAL.

Mrs. D. J. Gautreaux, the wife of Conductor Gautreaux, of the New Iberia 
Midland Branch, died at her residence on West St. Peters street, on Wednesday, 
the 10th. inst., at about noon. Mrs. Gautreaux's health gave away some time 
ago. While she had been much of an invalid, her condition was not fully 
apparent to her family and the end came as a severe shock. She leaves her 
saddened husband the care of two sweet little girls yet in the tender years of 
childhood. Her remains were taken to New Orleans on the early Thursday morning 
train for the final resting.
