Edward W. Gitskey, a prominent citizen of this place and a well-known 
traveling man, died at his residence here Thursday at eight o'clock, aged 41 
years, after an illness of several weeks. He is survived by his wife and two 
little children. Obsequies were held here on Friday at the residence 
preceeding the removal of the remains to New Orleans S. P. Train No. 6, where 
interment will take place to-day in Greenwood Cemetery. Mr. Gitzzky (sic) for 
many years was traveling salesman for Parke, Davis & Co., the big drug concern 
of Detroit, Mich., and was well-known to the profession throughout the State.
