Died, at New Orleans, last Monday evening, March 27th, at 3 o'clock p. m., 
Mrs. G. A. Gittens, daughter of Mrs. Alphonse DeBlanc of this City, aged 35 
years. Mrs. Grittens with her husband and two children had been residing at 
New Orleans for the past two years, where Mr. Gittens was employed after his 
residence here. She was stricken to her bed from a serious ailment and 
lingered for near two months between life and death. Deceased leaves besides 
her mother, husband and two young daughters, a sister, Mrs. Henry Guidry and 
two brothers, Messrs. Cyrus and Sidney of this Parish. The remains were 
brought to New Iberia for interment on Tuesday evening and interred in the 
Catholic Cemetery on Wednesday. The Enterprise extends its condolences to 
the bereaved family.
