Miss Mary Irene Hayes, eldest daughter of Mr. David Hayes, died at the home of 
her parents, on Jefferson's Island, Sunday Oct. 15, 1899. The funeral took 
place from the Methodist church in New Iberia, Monday 16th inst. We extend 
sympathies to the sorrowing parents and friends.
