Archbishop Janssens, the beloved Catholic prelate of this diocese, died on the 
10th inst., on a steamer at sea while on his way to New York, where he was to 
have taken a steamer for Europe, being on his way to visit his family in 
Holland. His remains were brought back to New Orleans for interment, and the 
funeral, on Wednesday last, was one of the grandest and most imposing ever 
witnessed in the Crescent City.
