(New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, December 07, 1901, Image 2 DIED: At his home, on Spanish Lake, last night, Alphonse Landry. His death was caused by an attack of pneumonia while convalescing from smallpox. Mr. Landry was a progressive farmer and has done much for the development of his section of the coutry. He was a large real estate owner and was interested in both cane and cotton. He leaves a large family, a broad circle of relatives and a host of admiring friends who will sincerely regret and mourn his untimely death.
