(Donaldsonville, La.) 1871 - current, April 13, 1907, Image 3 Death of Jean Larre. - Jean Larre, a native of Vic Bijere, France, but for many years past an estimable and highly-respected citizen of this town, died at the residence of his son, Hugh Larre, in New Orleans, at 12:05 o'clock p. m., Tuesday, the 9th inst., aged seventy-seven years. His remains were brought to Donaldsonville Tuesday night and conveyed to the residence of his son-in-law, Edmond Maire, in Opelousas street, from whence the funeral took place Wednesday forenoon at 11 o'clock, interment being made in the Catholic cemetery after impressive services at the Church of the Sacred Heart. Mr. Larre is survived by two sons, Hugh Larre, of New Orleans, and Eugene Larre, of St. John, and two daughters, Mrs. A. J. Daigle, of Belle Rose, and Mrs. Edmond Maire, of Donaldsonville, besides a large number of grand-children and other relatives. The Chief extends sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
