St. Peter's Street, this city, on Wednesday, Jan. 2nd, Mr. Frank Laughlin, a native of Iberville Parish, but from early boyhood a citizen of New Iberia. He served under the Jno. Fisher administration as one of the councilmen for the years 1895.7 and as a valued member of the Board of Directors of the Iberia Building Association from 1891 to 1896. A man of excellent character, one who united sound sense woth strong conviction. There will be many true friends of his who will regret deeply his death. He was for many years a great sufferer from an incurable malady which he bore with a patience and courage found in few. He married Miss May Kramer, a daughter of the late William Kramer, and she, together with several children, are left to mourn their loss. The funeral took place on Thursday afternoon from St. Peters Catholic Church.
