Train No. 9, the remains of Edward Granville Laughlin were brought home for burial. The funeral services took place from the First M. E. Church, South, at 4:30 p.m. The deceased was a son of the late Edward Laughlin, Sr., and a nephew of G. Clifford and Frank Laughlin, of this city. He was one of the victims of the Texas & Pacific R R wreck, near Alexandria on last Saturday mourning. source: New Iberia Enterprise and Independent Observer. (New Iberia, La.) 1902-1944, November 30, 1912, Image 3 The funeral of Mr. Edward Granville Laughlin, son of the late Edward Laughlin, who was killed in a railroad wreck a few miles west of Alexandria last Saturday morning was held in New Iberia on Sunday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church at 4:30 o'clock. The young man leaves to mourn his demise, besides his widow and children, one sister, Mrs. Thomas J. Burnham of this City. The family have the sympathy of a large circle of friends.
