Memorial services will be held at a later date for Kenneth Melvin Leavitt, 
78, who passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016, in New Iberia.

A resident of New Iberia, Mr. Leavitt was born February 22, 1938, and worked 
for Acme Refrigeration Company. He enjoyed helping people and playing Santa 
Claus every year.

Survivors include his son, Kenneth Eugene Leavitt and wife Renee; daughters, 
Tammy Leavitt Dickerson and Karrie Leavitt Schlomer; grandchildren, Eric 
Leavitt and Kristin Leavitt; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a grandchild, Tanya Dickerson.
