The venerable Mr. Benjamin Lillie, who came to this place with his family nine 
years ago, from Michigan, died at his pleasant farm home, just below town, on 
Thursday last, at the advanced age of 75 years. Deceased was a most sturdy 
citizen and was very highly esteemed by those who knew him. He always spoke 
with great satisfaction of his southern home, qand his genial nature 
contributed in making life very pleasant to him and those around him. We 
extend heartfelt sympathy to his family in their hour of affliction.
