An active registered nurse of many years, Mrs. Loye had an innate desire to see to the care and needs of others above her own. She was an active parishioner for over 50 years at Highland Baptist Church of New Iberia. Mrs. Loye was an excellent baker, whose presence in the kitchen will be missed by many. Her family always held a special place in her heart as the amount of love for her family and grandchildren was immense and unwavering. Left to cherish her memory are her children; daughters Ann Love Segura and husband Steven of New Iberia and Jan Love Basham and husband Gregory of Paradise, Texas; her son, Stratton Dean Love Jr. and wife Renee of New Iberia; and her sister, Billie Boulware Minasian, of Sacramento, California. She also leaves behind six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Mr. Stratton Dean Love Sr; her father, Mr. Lucien James Boulware; mother, the former Miss Willie Kate Brothers; and sisters, Mrs. Floye Boulware Savage and Mrs. Jimmie Boulware Waller. Serving the honor of Pallbearers will be her grandchildren; Chad Segura, Cory Segura, Ross Basham, Kyle Basham, Brody Love and Benjamin Love. The family requests that in lieu of flowers to please make a donation in her name to the Louisiana Baptist Children’s Home of Monroe or to Heart of Hospice of Lafayette to honor her life and legacy of helping others.
