(New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, August 29, 1914, Image 3 A SAD HOMECOMING. - On Tuesday afternoon the remains of Willie Landry, son of Drauzin Landry of Delcambre, La, arrived on So. Pa train No 10 from Arizona and were sent from here to home for burial. He and three others were victims of Mexican rustler's bullets. According to the version of the story coming to us, Willie left his home some time ago and sought fortune in the far West. He found employment on a ranch in Arizona. Recently, in a letter to his parents, he wrote that he was doing well and had accumulated a modest saving. In reply to his letter he was told of his mother's desire to see him and was asked to come home, even for a visit. He had determined to do this, when the call came to check the depredations of a band of Mexican cattle thieves. He became a member of the pursuing party. His remains left Arizona on last Saturday and arrived here Tuesdas (sic) evening by Express. The deceased was a nephew of Dr. Landry of Delcambre.
