The friends and acquaintances of Mr. Charles Maridat were grieved last Tuesday 
upon learning of his sudden death in the City of New Orleans where he had been 
residing for the past twenty years. Mr. Maridat was a son of the late Mrs. 
Melina Maridate, nee Pointis who died in this City man yyears (sic) ago. The 
remains of the deceased were interred at New Orleans the following day of his 
death.
