ALCIDE JEAN MARIE.

Died, at his residence in this City on Sunday, January 18th at 11:30 o'clock 
P. M., Mr. Alcide Jean Marie, aged 60 years. Deceased was a native of this 
Parish and was held in high esteem by all who knew him. Mr. Marie followed 
the occupation of contractor and builder. He leaves to mourn his demise 
besides a widow, one daughter, Miss Anita, and two sons, Messrs. Leon R. 
Marie, deputy collector of customs at Port Haitien and Mr. Dudley Marie of 
Weeks Island. The funeral was conducted from St. Peter's Catholic church in 
the presence of a large concourse of sympathetic friends on Monday afternoon 
at two o'clock.
