Mr. John D. Melhop, of Carrolton, La., the venerable father of Mrs. A. F. 
Decourt, died at his home, aged 82 years, was a prominent citizen of New 
Orleans for many years. Mrs. Decourt and Miss Anna Beckman of this city had 
been at the bedside for some time.
