Died, at the home of her nephew, in this City on Tuesday, April 30th, Miss 
Aspasie Melancon, aunt of Mr. J. R. Melancon. Deceased was born on July 26th, 
1842 and resided here with her relatives for many years. She was a devout 
Catholic and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The funeral was held 
from St. Peter's Catholic church on Wednesday at five o'clock, Rev. J. M. 
Langlois performing the funeral rites.
