Died, at the residence of his son-in-law, Mr. Earl Hall in this City on Sunday, April 4th, 1920 at 1:30 o'clock P. M., Mr. Joseph Alcee Nereaux, born August 13th, 1866. Deceased was a native of this Parish and a gentleman with a wide circle of intimate friends who regretted his departure from this earthly sphere. He leaves to mourn him, his daughter, Mrs. Earl Hall, a grief-stricken widow. The funeral was conducted from the Methodist church, Rev. Mr. Brown officiating on Monday afternoon at three o'clock. The funeral was attended by the members of New Iberia *east Ma** Maccabees of which he was a member. The family have the sympathy of the people of this community.
