(New Iberia, La.) 1902-1944, October 15, 1910, Image 3 The funeral services of the late Avilleau Norres were held Wednesday, October 12. There was a short service at his late home at one o'clock p. m., afterwards the procession went to the "Tabernacle" and the service proper was held there. Rev. W. Leith preached the funeral sermon from the text; "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." The service was in the French language. Mrs. Vest and her two daughters, Mrs. Phillips and Miss Phillips sang several selections. The Tabernacle was filled to the doors, the interment taking place in the old family cemetery near his home.
