Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com February 9, 2017, 2:10 pm Evangeline Funeral Home 314 E Saint Peter St., New Iberia, LA 70560 NEW IBERIA - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Lillian Norris, age 90, at 2:00 pm on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Holy Family Chapel. Deacon Wade Broussard will officiate. Following the services, Lillian will be laid to rest in Holy Family Mausoleum. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Evangeline Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 1:45 pm on Monday with a rosary being prayed at 11:00 am. A native of Coteau and resident of Orange, TX, Lillian passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at her residence. Born on December 19, 1926 to the late Oday Norris and the late Helene "Eleanor" Viator Norris, Lillian was one of seven children. Lillian was a pure blooded Cajun woman that truly lived her heritage. She had a great passion for Cajun: music, food, and people. One of her favorite activities was dancing. When the music started playing, Lillian was up on her feet dancing to the rhythm. She also had a love for cooking and food, especially boiled crawfish. Lillian liked to be around people and loved to visit with friends a family. A loving mother and grandmother, Lillian will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her. She is survived by her children, Laura Lee Viator of Lafayette, James "Jimmy" E. Jones and wife Jackie of Monroe, and Beverly Ann Jones of Orange, TX; grandchildren, Johnette Landry and husband Jerry, Shelly Lee Landry, and Michael Chad Jones; great grandchildren, Jarid Paul Landry and Jency Jae Landry; and great-great grandchildren, Kayleigh Mae Landry and Emma Landry. She is preceded in death by her parents, Oday and Helene "Eleanor" Viator Norris; and brothers, Eddie, Etienne, Edia, Otis, Otto, and Anteine Norris.
