Died, at the residence of his parents on Friday, January 10th, 1913, at 2:30 
o'clock A. M., Walter Joseph O'Brian, aged 20 years and 10 months. The funeral 
took place from St. Peter's Catholic Church yesterday evening at 4 o'clock. He 
was a member of Iberia Fire Co. No. 1.

IN MEMORIAM.

On January the 9th, 1913, the grim messenger of death again called away from our
companionship an active member of our Company, which has cast a gloom of sorrow
over the entire membership of IBERIA FIRE COMPANY NO. 1, as well as over his
father, mother, brothers, sisters and other kindred.

In the death of Brother J. O'Brien, this Company realizes the loss of a valuable
member who was ever ready to risk his life, should it be necessary, in the
protection of life and proyerty (sic); and who at all time rendered valuable
service to our Company, and was therefore, ranked as one of our best and most
active members; one always deeply interested in the welfare of our Company.

Therefore, be it resolved, that Iberia Fire Company No. 1, regrets exceedingly the
death of Walter J. O'Brien; that we extend our sincere condolence to the bereaved
family.

Be it further resolved, that copies of these resolutions be furnished the press of
this City, a copy sent to the family of our deceased member, and a copy spread upon
the minutes of our Company.
