The sad news has been received here of the death at Lake Charles, on 
Thursday, May 30th, at 6:30 a. m. of Mrs. O. H. O'Bryan, aged 46 years, 5 
months and 21 days. She was a former resident of this town and mother of 
John W. O'Bryan, former publisher of the Herald, and now with the Lake 
Charles Daily American Press. Our sympathies are extended the bereaved ones.

Died, at Lake Charles on Thursday of last week, Mrs. O. H. O'Bryan, aged 46 
years and five months. Deceased had many friends in New Iberia, having 
resided here for several years, coming to New Iberia from Vermillion Parish, 
afterwards removing to Lake Charles where several of her children now 
reside. Among the surviving children were her sons, John E., Edwin, Oliver, 
Robert, Francis and two daughters, Mary and Ruth. Mrs. O'Bryan's mother, 
Mrs. Hamplet of Perry, La., and two sisters, Mrs. Laura Nouse (sic) and Mrs. 
R. S. Putnam of Eunice.
