The little community of Loreauville was thoroughly shocked last Monday morning 
upon learning of the tragic death by his own hands of Mr. Walter Oubre, aged 
about twenty years and son of that sterling citizen of that Ward, Mr. Albert 
Oubre. It seems from what we understand the young man had been taking a course 
at the State Normal at Natchitoches and had underwent a hard study which 
effected his health, causing despondency, though his near and dear relatives 
little thought he would commit so rash and act. The young man was an ideal son 
and had hosts of friends throughout the Parish that regret his sad ending.
