Creamer marykcreamer@yahoo.com August 7, 2016, 7:53 pm The Weekly Iberian. (New Iberia, La.) 1894-1946, July 13, 1907, Image 4 Mrs. M. A. Patout, died on Thursday morning, at her home on Enterprise plantation, this parish, very suddenly. She was 70 years of age. She was the senior member of the firm, Mrs. M. A. Patout and Son, cane planters and manufacturers. Mrs. Patout was a member of one of the oldest families in the country and has always enjoyed a position of affluence, also, the highest esteem of a very wide circle of friends. Her eldest son, H. P., and her business partner, was away from home at the time of his mother's death. Every one is sincere in the feeling that Iberia parish has suffered, in the death of Mrs. Patout, the loss of one of its highest exponents of noble womanhood and affectionate motherhood.
