In the death of Mr. Honore Picheloup which occurred at his country home on 
Friday, June 6th at two o'clock A. M. the Fifth Ward loses one of its most 
honorable citizens. Mr. Picheloup was born in Pointis Enard, France on 
January 25th, 1850 and after reaching manhood came to this country which he 
made his home. He leaves to mourn his demise a large number of children and 
grand-children. Among those of his descendants are Mrs. J. E. Purel, Mrs. 
Henry Capo, Mrs. Sidney Norris, Messrs. Joe, Honore E. and Sylvania 
Picheloup. The funeral services were conducted in New Iberia at St. Peter's 
church on Friday afternoon at five o'clock.
