Necrological. - Anthony Plattsmire, who had been a resident of New Iberia 
for a number of years till a few years since, died at his residence in 
Rayne, La. on last Tuesday. The funeral rite was performed in St. Peter's 
Catholic Church in this city.

Mr. Plattsmire is remembered her as a quiet and law-abiding citizen, and a 
devoted husband and father.

The Iberian extends heartfelt sympathy to the grief stricken family.

Rayne, La., July 22. - Anthony Plattsmier, who for the past four years has 
been residing here, died this morning after au (sic) illness of one week. 
Mr. Plattsmier was 49 years of age and leaves a wife and five children. 
Services were held at St. Joseph's Catholic church this evening. His remains 
will be taken to New Iberia for interment.

The deceased was well known in this parish where he once resided, and 
married his wife who was a daughter of the late Philogene Buteaud.
