Death has visited our City quite often of late and borne to their last resting 
place many of our citizens. Among the number was that of Mrs. William Roddy, 
nee Amelia Songe, who died at her home in this City, last Wednesday at 4 a. 
m., aged 42 years. The deceased was a most estimable lady, a model wife and 
mother. She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn her loss, which is 
irreparable. The funeral was held at the Catholic Church, on Thursday last, 
Sept. 14th, 9:30 a. m., attended by numerous friends and relatives to whom we 
extend our heartfelt sympathy.
