The relatives and friends of Mr. Milcah Roger were pained to learn that he had succumbed from Spanish Influenza at New Orleans on Wednesday, October 9th. Mr. Roger died from the sickness at the Base Hospital in that City after several days illness. He was aged 28 years, 7 months and 15 days. Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. August Roger of New Iberia and was well known by all our citizens. The funeral took place from St. Peter's Catholic church yesterday afternoon at four o'clock, Rev. Langlois officiating. The family have the heartfelt sympathy of the people of this community.
