DIED: At his late residence, near Burke Station, in this parish, on Monday, 
December 18th, at 3 o'clock a m, Demosthene Romero, born December 6th, 1866. 
The funeral took place from St. Peter's Catholic Church on Tuesday forenoon at 
10 o'clock and interment was made in St. Peters Cemetery. The deceased was a 
prosperous and well known farmer of his section and during the half century of 
his life had surrounded himself with many enduring friendships.
